Even Dickie is concerned about the climate. Like most people, he has a hard time letting go of harmful or unhealthy habits. This short-sightedness is sad, but of course, for the Dickie fan, it is a fertile source of humour!
Dickie is the universal loser. Whether he’s a farmer or astronaut, knight or firefighter, he always draws the short straw. Dickie wants to participate in the world, but does not understand the codes. Often he dies at the end of a story, only to emerge in the next story, as is the case with cartoon characters. Running in the next story into misfortune again.

Zelfs Boerke ligt wakker van het klimaat. Net als de meeste mensen heeft hij het moeilijk om schadelijke of ongezonde gewoontes los te laten. Deze kortzichtigheid is triest, maar voor de Boerkefan is het natuurlijk een vruchtbare bron van humor!
Boerke is de universele loser. Of hij nu boer is of astronaut, ridder of brandweerman, hij trekt altijd aan het kortste eind. Boerke wil meedoen met de wereld, maar begrijpt de codes niet. Vaak sterft hij op het einde van een verhaal, om dan in het volgende verhaal te verrijzen, zoals dat gaat met cartoonfiguren. Om dan in het volgende verhaal weer met beide voeten in het ongeluk te lopen.
